Fiona Bochel
Yoga

Fiona qualified as an Iyengar Yoga Teacher in 1994 and continues to attend many courses to improve her teaching and understanding. She has extensive experience of teaching students of all ages, and from all walks of life. Her classes are fairly hard working, fun, energising and calming.

She use lots of props  to ensure even the least flexible can manage the yoga poses, and students often assist one another during class. The concentration required during class undoubtedly helps focus the mind so that students can become deeply relaxed during the guided relaxation with which all classes finish.

Fiona considers it a privilege to share her knowledge, and derives huge satisfaction from the feedback she receives from students. Classes are mainly physical, to develop strength and flexibility. There is no religion, no expectation, prize or time limit. Like life, yoga is a journey full of learning. We also work on some breathing techniques and of course relaxation to calm and strengthen the mind to help cope with the inevitable ups and downs that life throws at us.

In addition to classes at Citymoves, Fiona teaches on Monday mornings at Peterculter and on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at South Holburn Parish Church. For further information she can be contacted on 01224 732119 or at fiona.bochel@hotmail.co.uk…….

Kristina started Irish dancing at the age of ten and instantly fell in love with the curly wigs, sequin dresses, poodle socks and Irish ways. Competitively dancing with the Haughey McAuley for 8 years on both a solo and team level, she has travelled from the UK to Canada to represent her dance school at numerous Feiseanna. After getting back into Irish dancing in 2012, Kristina’s passion for Irish dance was rekindled and she decided to try her hand at teaching. She is currently an Irish tutor at the Aberdeen University Dance Society and, after the success of Citymoves’ summer drop in sessions, started up a new class at Citymoves!
